Established in 2006, Aitken Soft Furnishings is a friendly, local business based in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, UK, which specialises in making beautiful Curtains and Roman blinds as well as other window dressings and soft furnishings for homes in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hillhead, Stubbington, Fareham, Gosport and many other surrounding areas within Hampshire.
All window dressings are made-to-measure, are finished to an extremely high standard of workmanship and are competitively priced to suit all budgets.
 
An informal, professional service, with a no-obligation visit is offered in the comfort of your own home to measure and discuss your requirements, advise on the type of window treatments that will work and what will not, suitable fittings such as curtain poles and tracks and any other factors that need to be considered before your window treatment design is finalised.
Your chosen window dressings and soft furnishings can be made up from your own fabric or we can supply fabric for you. A good selection of fabric pattern books by Clarke & Clarke, Montgomery, Volga Linen and Swaffer are available to view. Alternatively, you can view the fabric collections online and fabric swatches can be sent out to you on request. The collections include beautiful cottons, linens, sheers, silks and velvets in many classic to contemporary styles.
Fabulous wallpaper collections by Clarke & Clarke can also be supplied direct to you. Other well known brands of designer fabrics and wallpapers such as Harlequin, Sanderson, Romo, Prestigious Textiles, GP & J Baker, Villa Nova, Kate Forman, Vanessa Arbuthnott, Ashley Wilde to name but a few, can also be sourced and supplied for you, so please contact us for a competitive quote before you buy elsewhere.
 
Aitken Soft Furnishings also offers a Curtain Alteration and Re-make Service:
Your curtains may simply need shortening or altering in some way, or linings may need replacing or added to give them a refreshing lift. Alterations are normally carried out within 7-10 days from receipt of your curtains at the workroom, depending on the type of work required.
Alternatively, you may have good quality pair of curtains that are sat in a cupboard or attic that you liked once, but forgot you had them. To save on new fabric costs, consider recycling existing curtains and have them re-made into something else for your home, such as Roman blinds or cushion covers. As long as the curtain fabric is still in good condition and there is enough fabric available from the curtains, new window dressings or other item of soft furnishings are a possibility!
