Aitken Soft Furnishings was established in 2006 and is based in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, UK.   The owner Mandy Aitken, is a professional curtain maker who specialises in making beautiful Curtains and Roman blinds as well as other window dressings and soft furnishings for homes in Lee-on-the-Solent and surrounding areas within Hampshire. 

All window dressings are made-to-measure, are made to a very high standard of workmanship and are competitively priced to suit all budgets.  An informal, friendly and professional service is offered and a no-obligation visit can be arranged in the comfort of your own home to discuss your requirements for curtains and blinds, the type of window treatments that will work and what will not, suitable fittings such as poles and tracks (if not already fitted) and any other factors that need to be considered before for the chosen window treatment design is finalised.  All window measurements are taken during the visit and a written quotation is provided by email or post within 3-5 working days.   

All orders are normally completed within 2-4 weeks from receipt of your fabric for the make-up of your window dressings and/or soft furnishings.  However, completion timescales will be fully discussed with you when your order is placed.

Whilst fabric books are not currently held, if you proceed with an order, the fabric type and colourways you are considering will be discussed and assistance will be given with sourcing fabrics.  Samples will be provided wherever possible.  Depending on the chosen fabric, designer and availability, discounts may be available on certain fabrics purchased through Aitken Soft Furnishings.

Aitken Soft Furnishings also offers a Curtain Alteration Service.  Your curtains may simply need shortening or altering in some way, or existing curtains may need their linings replaced or linings added to give them a refreshing lift.  Alterations are normally carried out within 7-14 days from receipt of your curtains, dependent on the type of alteration required.  Prices are available on request.
